If Art Astigmatism (2025) approached the gallery opening from the position of the insider, this series shifts to that of the observer. Made while photographing my first opening, the work reflects a more instinctive way of seeing: quiet, receptive, and slightly removed.
Rather than focusing on systems of access or hierarchy, the images linger on passing moments — gestures, glances, and brief encounters that unfold without resolution. Looking back, the work resonates with the contemplative rhythm of Perfect Days (2023) and the introspective tone of Beautiful World, Where Are You (2021), where attention rests on the subtle emotional weight of everyday life.
Fashion operates less as a marker of status than as an extension of presence. Clothing, environment, and posture converge to produce a sense of lived immediacy, where the boundary between private gesture and subtle performance begins to blur.
Across the series, observation becomes the method. Individuals move through space without fully connecting to it or each other, leaving behind fleeting impressions shaped by atmosphere, distance, and time.
